Nabertherm Top Loading Kilns
Nabertherm have been making kilns in Germany for over 75 years. We re-started selling their Top Loader Electric Kilns in September 2023 after a number of changes to their kilns and us having larger premises. Lead time for kilns we do not have in stock is approximately 3-4 weeks.
These are well built German kilns with the following attributes:-
- Heating elements embedded in grooves, heating from all sides
- Top quality heating elements, optimum wire gauge and length for long life
- Solid state relays provide for low noise operation
- Rapid switching cycles result in precise temperature control
- Type S thermocouple
- Lid interlock safety switch
- Multiple layers of insulation for low power consumption and low exterior temperatures
- Energy saving, special purpose back insulation on Top 80 and larger models
- Housing made from sheets of textured stainless steel
- Lid with adjustable quick release lock and padlock hasp
- Wear free lid seal (brick on brick)
- Powerful gas dampers make lid opening very easy
- Infinitely adjustable air inlet in opening in the kiln bottom for good ventilation and short cooling times
- Exhaust air outlet on furnace side with stub for pipe of 80 mm diameter
- Lockable castors for easy transport of kiln without the need for lifting (apart from the table top TOP 16/R)
- GS safety mark for controlled safety
- However, they do not come apart to go through doorways - if you need this ability please follow this link to the Rohde Top Loading kilns

We are happy to talk through the size and shape of kiln you need - shallow and wide, tall and narrow, wide and tall, and what ampage a kiln needs, difference between plug-in, single phase and three phase, - to find the right kiln for you and your budget - though there may have to be compromises !
Roadside, tail lift dropped, pallet delivery charge will need to be added to the price - this cost depends upon your postcode.

Nabertherm Controllers : The Nabertherm Top Loader kilns come as standard with the B500 which has an intuitive touch screen, status display with estimated end time and date, 5 program slots, each with 4 freely adjustable segments, precise temperature control, wifi capability to use the MyNabetherm App
The upgrade to a C540 controller is possible when the kiln is made at the factory - GBP300 + VAT = GBP360 - this upgrade kiln can store 10 programs and 20 segments.
Pallet delivery is to the roadside by a pallet network tail lift vehicle – you will need help with you on the day - the driver will lower the pallet down and then can only help with their pallet truck if a completely flat hard surface – no slopes, kerbs, gravel, cobbles etc.
