CTM Potters Supplies is a family business which in 2005 bought the long established CTM Supplies and the Contem brand, following the semi-retirement of the previous owner - see ABOUT US.

CTM Potters Supplies operates showrooms / sales counters in Doncaster and in Exeter, and we are happy for you to come and browse between 9:30am to 4:30pm Monday to Thursday, 4pm on Fridays (excluding bank holidays) and 9am to 2pm on the first Saturday in each month - see CONTACT US for our locations and Xmas opening hours.

To reduce complications, and so that we have a buying history to search through (such as when you want to know which glaze you had before etc), we do recommend that you buy from one site - if we are out of stock at one site we do despatch from the other so you do not need to ring both.

You can get pretty much anything you need for pottery making from CTM - and by buying in bulk we aim to have the most competitive of prices. We probably have the UK’s most cost effective stock of metal oxides and raw materials, as well as glaze frits, plasters, polishing powders etc

If you call in to see us you can browse through hundreds of tools, brushes, tile cutters, sponges, mud tools, safety wear, buckets, props, shelves etc etc….as well as hundreds of glazes, stains, underglazes, basic glazes, UG pencils - and test tiles!

Also, in stock are approximately sixty five of the Valentine and Earthstone range of clays. We also can deliver pallet lots of Valentine and Earthstone clays, and pallet lots from Potclays

We have spent a lot of time deciding on a range of potters wheel to hold in stock - to cover most potters needs and budgets - a Frema table top, two budget powerful Frema wheels, a Gladstone Bailey, and a Rohde HMT600; but we can order other Gladstones for you if you have a specific need. We regularly bring in a dozen of the potters wheels so that we can offer them at good prices.

We usually have a plug in IKON V46, Rohde 43 and several other kilns from Rohde and Nabertherm in stock for you to see the build quality

If you need advice about buying a potters wheel, or a Rohde or Nabertherm or Kilncare kiln, please give us a call - if we are busy with a call in customer we can call you back so that we can have a proper chat about ampage needs, internal height and width options, controllers, delivery, initial firing routines - we won’t rush you as it is a big decision to make - and we will look at what special offers we may have.

We give a 5% discount to members of National and Regional Potters Associations that a) promote members work through events, b) further ceramic knowledge through seminars and lectures, and c) have annual subscription membership.

To obtain the 5% discount you must have your membership number - we recommend registering the number with us so that you only have to give it to us once.

The discount is on all items apart from “direct delivered clay” where we have only a small margin, and kilns and wheels where we have already given good discounts or we will work out a specific discount for you based on current exchange rates.

Potters Associations

We are a main distributor for VALENTINE CLAYS and their Standard, Earthstone and Professional ranges - we stock sixty five of them at our two sites including some powdered clays and casting slips.

You can also order a delivery by tail lift vehicle any of the clays from VALENTINE ( including Earthstone) or POTCLAYS in 250 kg to 1000kg lots. Discounts for multiple clays from one manufacturer.
